Athens Olympics Broadcasting (AOB) Corporation, Olympic Games Co-ordination Body – Athens 2004: e- Library of Multimedia Objects for the Athens 2004 Olympics Broadcasting (AOB) Corporation

The Athens Olympic Broadcasting (AOB) Corporation was the Host Broadcaster for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, responsible for producing and distributing radio and television coverage of the Olympic Games. Coverage was provided as a service to Broadcasters who have purchased the Olympic Broadcast Rights from the International Olympic Committee and ATHENS 2004 to broadcast the Games in their respective countries.

ATC provided an archive library management solution based on Virage indexing solutions, and developed additional library management functionality such as integrated barcode scanning, and video label printing functionality. ATC also assumed overall project management, integration, training and on-site support during the Athens 2004 Olympics.

The system performed the indexing and storage management for the complete broadcast footage of Athens 2004.
